Environmental strategy

We put the environment in focus by investing in safe and efficient energy supplies which cause the minimum possible environmental impact. The aim is quite simply to move towards energy development which is sustainable in the long term. All our products, emissions and waste products must meet the environmental requirements set by the public and the natural world.
 
 
We also work to ensure that processes and products are part of closed-loop cycles. Our operations are to be run with good margins with regard to the terms applicable under our licence and other permits as well as environmental legislation.

VEAB must have the expertise to assess what additional measures need to be taken and what measures are possible to implement. In the event of any doubt, the precautionary principle is to be applied.
